"Marketing 101"-- September 23rd, 2008

Need a spot on the WWW for a relaxed, unscripted, and casual interview to promote your writing style and stories? Or better yet, are you looking for a place to showcase the BEST aspect of you as the person, as opposed to you as the (busy body professional) writer? Stop by "Melly's Spot" and unwind...

I have made a new friend in Contemporary Romance author--Melanie Anderson. She is the author of such works as "On The Run" and "Born to Run" with her latest release "Racing for the Shore." You can view all her works at her homepage: Author Melanie Anderson

Melanie's blog--Melly's Spot--is the place where she showcases her writing, her creative side, her humor and also her interviews of other writers. So, if you are interested in an interview, stop by her blog and contact her. Tell her Bobby sent you!!!

You can also find her on MySpace here.... and yes, I do believe that is "My Little Pony" in the background...

Remember, we artist survive, NOT by stepping over one another...but by pushing and pulling one another up the ladder of success...after all...we are not corporate sharks in a suit!

Yeah, what's up with that??? I was at work when I left that comment yesterday ...that's all I can say. I'm so sorry!

Hi Bobby! :o I'm losing my mind...

Can I start over? Thank you so much for featuring my blog and I look forward to interviewing you!

Now I'm going to go hide under a rock...

It's no biggie..I actually thought perhaps a Paul had commented as well and you were simply replying to him...
It's perfectly fine...

I can't wait! I love being interviewed and I LOVED being asked those odd questions that force me to share more than what I normally do...
I am going to do SO WELL ON Oprah one day!!!

Hey Bobby, my author journey landed me through your blog and I am thrilled and excited that I met an up and coming author that is as excited and passionate about his project as I am. If there is anything I or We can do to help each other out, lets brainstorm! I will contact that woman about her author interviews and I appreciate the helping hand in setting up this opportunity for me. You can check out my blog to see my independently published chidlrens book I am trying to promote. Hope to hear from you. And best of luck (although I am sure you won't need it)!

I just did...I love the artwork and I love the story idea! Congrats on the whole Target update...

What is the age group for your readers? I have children at home who love to read and I would rather purchase a book from someone I know, rather than someone I find randomly on the WWW. Let me know and I will get a copy...

OH! Have you considered teaming up with a writer (*hint, hint*) to illustrate a children's story? I would love to talk about working together in a draft story I have on the table...the only problem is... I am NO artist (at least not the kind that draws...).

I am very capable of freelancing my illustrations but I choose not to do it. The reasonf or that is I find it more trouble then its worth working with 'strangers'. But I wouldn't mind working with someone I know. If you think my style of art fits your needs, I could defientely produce a few things for you. You can e-mail me and talk about it further down the line if you are still interested.

Thanks for the compliment, I would say the age range from my book is 4-9. Any kid who gets a kick out of Mulan or Kung-Fu Panda would enjoy this book. If you get a copy I hope your kids enjoy it! Keep me updated :)
