How Do You Know You Are On The Right Path?

You want to know how you're on the "right path?" When people come into your lives, on parallel and similar paths, who are doing and sharing a vision similar to yours...and without effort, your visions come together to bless the masses. There is no easier validation than that.

We are meant to serve a greater purpose, greater than fancy purses, fancy shoes, fancy cars or homes, or credit scores...none of this means anything at the end of the day, when compared to what you can offer the world, or a single person in relation to helping mentor and council others to better their lives. And when people come into your life, with the same heart and desire, the same passion to help others, it is, by all means a divine appointment of greater cause...and it is your validation that you are truly living the life you were meant and purposed to fulfill.

Faith is an action word and it is not bound to a particular religion or philosophy or ideology, but instead, a word used to describe the action you take on behalf of a thought or belief (system). Having the courage to abandon all fear, knowing you may make a fool of yourself, oftentimes is the first act of genius.

As I tell my students...dare to be different...dare to dream...dare to do the impossible...so the rest of us can dare to dream the impossible.

...serving the soul of humanity...

"The Soul of Humanity"--April 29th, 2009

On tonight's show I will share a recent blog post and personal struggles of my own, common to every artist. I have struggled lately to come to terms with my own journey, my place and purpose in the world with relation to my gifts and after many long hours of solitude, moments of anger, frustration and doubt and many more instances of deep prayer...I have concluded that I can go no further in my journey without recognizing the significance behind my gifts...

The article mentioned tonight (which you can read here) has sparked such hope from my fellow artist and more so from others, people just like you and me who are looking for encouraging support. I will discuss it tonight in detail and I am calling on each of you to submit your comments, feedback and questions in relation to the topic tonight. Unless my guest comes through before 7PM CST, then it will be "open mic" night for Bobby Ozuna...

The Power and Consequence of persuing a dream...

I wonder, if you had to choose between your dreams and the reality of your soul, the part of you that makes you unique and different to the world...and choose between love and family, which would you choose?

For many of us, we face the moments in our life when we have to choose between becoming what we were born to be...and choosing the life we have lived. It isn't fair for us, but sometimes the ones we love hinder us more than help us, even without them knowing it. They put us in uncompromising positions to choose between being "like everyone else" or like them...and venturing off in uncharted waters to become something greater...to allow the true light within you to shine for the world, as God has so chosen for your life...

What would you do...???

"Corrido"--a tale of pursuing personal dreams...and the fate of ignoring the whisper of your soul...

I wrote a story once about a young man who was yet to find his place within the creative world. I have come to believe that all people--whether you believe it or not--have a talent and gift unique to ONLY them... and I further believe that if you choose to ignore the inner voice of your creativity, you are hindering your soul's ability to find complacency and peace within the harmony of your life. To draw a contrast between those who are still "seeking answers" and those who have chosen to ignore the inner voice of their soul, I created a story called "Corrido." I hope you enjoy it... and please, share your comments here...

NOTE: On the Sribd menu above the document, and on the far right hand side, there is a small icon (dark shaded square with a small white square inside)...that icon will allow you to view the story in full screen mode. You can print it or save it and read it later if you wish. This story was used by Ms. Priscilla Lancarte and her graduating English class at Tech High School in Fort Worth, in 2007.
